Is it already nearly the end?

Planete Earth Exploding

The end of the world has always been a terrifying and fascinating subject for many people.

The Quran and the Sunnah of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mention numerous minor and major signs of the end of times. Some of the widely-known minor signs include the disappearance of the Quran and the emergence of tall buildings touching the sky, which we now know are skyscrapers.

Don’t you worry, I understand how this looks. You are all probably already feeling a little scared to know that one of the minor signs already happened, right? But don’t worry darlings, the minor signs aren’t as related to the real end as the major signs that start the real countdown to the end.

Nonetheless, my dear readers, there are ten major signs that truly confirm that the end is near and I will gladly present the first three and most important to you here.

First Sign: The False Messiah, Masih Al-Dajjal (The Anti-Christ)

Now, this will probably not come as a surprise to all of you since he’s also talked about in the Bible and the Thora, but the anti-Christ is the first major sign of the end of the world.

Everyone has at least heard of him one time and it is sadly one of the most obvious but also one of the most tempting signs to endure before the end of the world.

The false messiah, Masih Al-Dajjal, has never been introduced in the Coran but has been mentioned numerous times in the Sunnah.

Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him, said The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, said: “The Dajjal will be one-eyed, blind or defective in his left eye, with thick hair. He will have with him a paradise and a hell, but his hell will be a paradise and his paradise will be a hell” — (Narrated by Muslim,no.5222).

The Dajjal is a deceiver who will mislead people. He is known as the Messiah of misguidance who will use various signs, such as bringing down rain and reviving the earth to bring forth vegetation, to convince people that he is God. However, these are merely tricks and false miracles designed to tempt people away from the true path. He will travel the world to deceive people and his most devoted followers will be the Jewish people.

There is a lot of false information about him, such as the myth that he’s a cyclop, which I assure you he is not.

However, there are also many truths to consider ;

  • He is human, like all of us.
  • He is a young man.
  • He will be blind in one eye, which will look like a floating grape.
  • He will stay on earth for 40 days, the first will feel like a year, the second like a month, the third like a week, and the rest like normal days.
  • He will make all that is true false and all that is false true.
  • Between his eyes will be written ‘ Ka-Fa-Ra’ (non-believer), which every believer will be able to read.
  • He will emerge from a place between Sham and Iraq.

The false messiah, Masih Al-Dajjal, will be the most tempting obstacle to our faith, but I must implore you to never forget that our true god, Allah, is certainly not one-eyed! — Miss T

Second Sign: The Return of the True Messiah, Issa Ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary)

While he(Dajjal, the anti-Christ) will be engaged in all of this, Allah will send the Messiah, the son of Mary, peace and blessings upon him. He will descend by the white minaret in the east side of Damascus, wearing two garments dyed in saffron placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he will lower his head (water) will drip(from it) and when he will raise it, drops like pearls will scatter from it. Every disbeliver who will come in contact with his breath will die and his breath will reach as far as he can see. — (Sahih Muslim)

The second sign of the end of the world is the return of our Prophet Issa (Jesus)(peace and blessings upon him) on earth by the will of Allah. You must first know that, in Islam, Issa(peace and blessings upon him) was never killed. His body was replaced and his soul was saved.

Issa Ibn Maryam(peace and blessings upon him) will come down from the eastern Minaret of the Masjid in Damascus with his hands on two angels. He will be wearing a Maroodatain garment and from his head, drops of water will fall as if they were pearls.

The Muslims and Imam Mahdi will recognize him by these signs and ask him to lead the prayer but he will only answer by “You lead the prayer” to Imam Mahdi who will then lead. Come the next morning, Imam Mahdi will lead the Muslim army to the battlefield and our Prophet Issa(peace and blessings upon him) will advance towards Masih Al-Dajjal. During the battle, his breath will be such that it will reach the limits of eye-sight and all the infidels who will come in its range will die.

Now, you must understand that during the 40 days of his presence on earth, Masih Al-Dajjal has been known as a miraculous and powerful god by a fraction of the world.

But, at the sight of Issa Ibn Maryam(peace and blessings upon him), on that day, the Dajjal will dissolve just as salt dissolves in water and will try to escape before being pursued and killed by the Prophet.

And, thus, will end the reign of the Dajjal and peace will return.

Third Sign: The Nation of Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj (Gog and Magog)

Allah created two huge tribes, Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, from the descendants of Adam(peace and blessings upon him). They are very similar to humans, being from the progeny of the first man.

These two tribes were initially free, however, it is narrated that during the period of Zul-Qarnayn, a great Muslim king, they caused a great deal of mischief and trouble on Earth. For this reason, a gigantic wall was built to prevent the Gog and Magog from reaching nearby tribes and wreaking havoc.

“Until, when he reached between two mountains, he found, before(near) them, a people who scarcely understood a word.

They said, ‘ O Dhu’l-Qarnayn! Verily! Yajuj and Majuj are doing great mischief in the land. Shall we then pay you a tribute in order that you might erect a barrier between us and them?’

He said: ‘That(wealth, authority, and power) in which my Lord has established me is better(than your tributes). So help me with strength(of men), I will erect between you and them a barrier.

Give me pieces(blocks) of iron,’ then, when he had filled up the gap between the two mountain cliffs, he said, ‘Blow’, till when he had made it(red as) fire, he said, ‘Bring me molten copper to pour over it.’

So they(Yajuj and Majuj) were made powerless to scale it or dig through it.

(Dhu’l-Qarnayn)said: ‘This is a mercy from my Lord, but when the Promise of my Lord comes, He shall level it down to the ground. And the Promise of my Lord is ever true.’ “ — (Sourate al-Kahf 18:93–98)

According to our religion, this sign will appear in the era of peace under the rule of our beloved Prophet Issa (peace and blessings be upon him). One day, the barrier that shields us from the attacks of Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj will become ineffective and they will finally manage to break through it.

Hence, a challenging period will commence for both Muslims and the people of the Earth. It is said that the number of Gog and Magog will exceed the rest of the world’s population, resulting in significant trouble and mayhem.

Our Prophet Issa (peace and blessings upon him) and all of his followers won’t have a choice but to hide and seek refuge on a mountain. There, they will pray for Allah to save them and to have mercy. Allah will listen to their prayers and send disease to the necks of the Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, like Naghafan (a kind of worm) that goes into their necks and kills them instantly.

The people will come down from the mountain, see all the bodies, and the dirty smell, and pray to Allah to save them from the sickening smell. Again, Allah will listen to their prayers and send birds to take the bodies and send rain to wash the ground.

Therefore, the disaster of Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj will end and the peace will return once more.

And here were the first three major signs of the end of the world, just for you my dear readers! I hope that this was informative.

But before you go, you must understand one last important thing, there’s a reason why these signs are known and why our Prophets and our God talk about them. They are here to make us reflect on our faith and how strong it truly is.

Is your faith truly strong enough for the future? — Miss T

These signs are not displayed only to scare us, but for us to repent before it is too late.

You never know when is the end of your world…
